Chapter XVII
Chapter XVII. The Dreams of the Gods
Reality is a two-sided mirror and waking life a low-awareness dream held by pendulums. Wake up by watching your thoughts, and treat your intention as God's: create, without asking or struggling.
In one paragraph
Zeland lays out the metaphysics behind Transurfing. Reality is a two-sided mirror: matter on one face, the alternative space on the other. Ordinary waking life is a low-awareness dream, taught in childhood and held in place by pendulums. His remedy is to wake up inside it by watching your thoughts dispassionately. God becomes a co-creator who lives in every creature and rules through their intentions, and evolution runs on the same striving. The practical upshot: treat your intention as God's and create, without asking, demanding or struggling.
Key ideas
- Reality has two sides, like a mirror. Science studies the physical face and esotericism peeks at the other. Reality confirms whatever model we bring (wave or particle, matter or energy), so arguing over which is the truth misses the point. [0:00:51], [0:03:30]
- The alternative space is a fixed information structure holding every possible event. A physical event is one alternative made material. It is not a place in three dimensions, and he separates it from the common information field in which data passes between objects. [0:04:32], [0:08:56]
- Dreaming is the soul visiting the alternative space, not the brain inventing. Memory stores an address, not the data. The mind only rearranges old material; real discoveries arrive as insight from outside. [0:06:01], [0:07:14], [0:08:05]
- For direct vision he cites the children of Bronnikov's academy, said to see with eyes closed and through walls. He reads this as the brain tuning to the realized sector of the field. [0:10:09], [0:12:51]
- Clairvoyants can also see alternatives that never materialize, so they err, and no one can know your future for certain. [0:14:15], [0:14:55]
- Outer intention, the magical power, turns a possible future into reality when heart and mind are united. Pushing on the reflection fails; you must change the image, which is the focus and nature of your thoughts. [0:15:33], [0:17:13]
- He treats reincarnation as established: Stevenson's child cases, twins speaking Aramaic, hypnotic regression. We forget past lives because awareness is blocked, not because memory is erased. [0:21:44], [0:24:54], [0:25:46]
- Children are more aware than adults. Adults force them into a worldview template and train their attention onto narrow things. The result is the subconscious daydream: life happens to you, shaped by your fears and expectations. [0:27:19], [0:29:15], [0:30:44]
- Waking life and dreams are both relative; each needs a reference point. A lucid dreamer remembers who they are and can steer. Most waking people have lost that point. Altered states and the Toltec assemblage point are his models of perception sliding to nearby unrealized sectors. [0:34:39], [0:36:30], [0:37:23], [0:43:16]
- The aim is a half-rung of awareness, not enlightenment. Step down from the stage, watch your thought flow, and repeat until it is habit. That is enough to apply the importance, alternatives-flow and coordination principles. Matter is inert, like tar, so results come slower than in dreams. [0:45:32], [0:46:25], [0:47:38]
- Religion and ego. Pious and fallen people alike are products of the ego. God is inside you, so seeking God while judging yourself through others' eyes is inner importance. Asceticism hooks you to the pendulum. The soul came here to enjoy the material world. [0:52:38], [0:54:20], [0:59:11], [1:00:14]
- Serving God means co-creation, and "the language of the Lord is creation." Prayer and worship are substitutes. Atheism, he says, is a pendulum too: both make you a puppet. [1:02:44], [1:04:33], [1:09:02]
- God rules through the intention of every living being, which is the urge to control its own reality. Baxter's plant polygraph and Gariaev's DNA spectrometer are offered as signs that everything has consciousness. [1:12:29], [1:13:43], [1:16:06], [1:18:51]
- Darwin explains selection but not where variation comes from. Zeland says intention materializes useful sectors, as wings improved over generations. Pendulums both destroy and synchronize species. [1:24:08], [1:25:57], [1:28:42]
- Freedom of choice is God's gift, and few use it. If your intention is God's, asking is like praying to yourself. Claim the right and create. [1:31:06], [1:33:20]

Practices
Wake up in the dream
- Catch yourself mid-activity (walking, talking, chores) and tell yourself to wake up. [0:45:32]
- Step down from the stage into the auditorium, or stay on stage as a participating spectator, and look with a sober mind. [0:47:10]
- Act dispassionately and keep watching your thought flow. [0:47:10]
- Repeat on purpose until it becomes automatic. [0:47:38]
- Use that half-rung to apply importance, flow and coordination. [0:47:38]
Take your intention as God's
- State what you intend. [1:33:20]
- Regard it as God's own intention, leaving no ground for doubt. [1:33:20]
- Do not ask, demand or fight; claim the right and create. [1:34:21]
Watch out for
- Evidence. Bronnikov's children, Stevenson's cases, the regression patient, Baxter's plants and Gariaev's DNA each get a few sentences and no sources. He notes that official science rejects such things and calls it a pendulum [0:08:56], [1:18:51]. The guide has not checked them.
- Reincarnation. He says there can hardly be any doubt [0:25:46] after a few anecdotes, then admits he is puzzled that memories are so rare. Blocked awareness is offered as the reason, which cannot be tested.
- Unsupported claims. Einstein's remark on discovery [0:08:05], the Toltec as last people of Atlantis [0:41:56], pyramids built by outer intention [0:16:09], enlightenment counted on one hand [0:44:26], and evolution driven by intention [1:25:57].
- Pendulums. Chapter II. Pendulums treats them as impersonal. Here he asks whether God endorses them [1:29:52], then says no one can know [1:30:28]. He also says nobody can do what God does not want [1:12:29], yet pendulums have enslaved human will [1:01:59]. The tension is left open.
- Religion. He says he forces his view on no one [0:56:58], yet states flatly that the pious act from ego [0:54:20]. Read these as opinions, not findings.
- Mindset, not method. The technique is deferred to the next part [1:36:17]. The altered-state material [0:37:23] is description, not advice.
Review questions
Try each one cold, then open the answer.
- What lies on each side of the dual mirror, and why does the world seem to agree with every theory?
Show answer
One side is physical, the other is the alternative space. Reality shows whichever face you look for, so every theory finds confirmation. - How does Zeland explain dreams, memory and insight?
Show answer
Dreams are the soul visiting the field, memory holds addresses into it, and insights are received from it, not invented by the mind. - Why can a clairvoyant be wrong, and what does that imply about the future?
Show answer
The field holds every alternative, including unrealized ones, so a seer may see one that never happens. The future is therefore not fixed. - Why do adults have less awareness than children, in his account?
Show answer
Their attention is trained onto narrow things, they take on a worldview template, and they stop treating life as a game. - What is a reference point, and why does it matter for lucid dreaming?
Show answer
It is the remembered point from which life looks like a dream. With it you can steer; without it circumstance runs you. - What is the half-rung of awareness, and how do you reach it?
Show answer
A little extra awareness, enough to apply the Transurfing principles. Tell yourself to wake up, step into the auditorium and watch your thoughts until it is habit. - How does he define serving God?
Show answer
As co-creating with him by shaping your own world, in place of worship and prayer. - What does he say is missing from Darwin's account of evolution?
Show answer
Where variation comes from. Zeland says intention materializes the useful sectors. - Why treat your intention as God's?
Show answer
A part of God is in you, so your wish coincides with his and asking would be asking yourself. That leaves creating.
Desk work
- Describe a stretch of your day lived on autopilot. Write what you would have noticed from the auditorium.
- Pick one claim here you doubt. Write what evidence would change your mind and where you would look.
- Write three sentences on what co-creation would mean in your work this week, without the words ask, demand or struggle.

Readiness check
Answer these without looking anything up.
- What is on each face of the dual mirror, and why does the world seem to agree with every theory?
- Where does he say memory is kept, and where do insights come from?
- Why can a clairvoyant see something that never happens?
- What does he say turns a child's awareness into a waking dream?
- What is a reference point, and what does it let a lucid dreamer do?
- What are the steps of the wake-up routine, and what does it let you apply?
- How does he define serving God, and what does he say it replaces?
- What does he say Darwin leaves out of evolution?
The next chapter assumes you hold one idea: reality has a physical face and an alternatives face, and what you change is the image (the focus and nature of your thoughts), not the reflection.
